Configuring Your First System

When you log in to DUCO HOME for the first time, a setup wizard will start.

This wizard guides you through configuring your first home, adding a device, and linking rooms to zones and components.

1. Configuring Your First House

You can manage multiple homes in DUCO HOME, but before you can use the application, you must add at least one home:

• Choose a name for your house.
• Confirm the name by selecting Continue.
• Replace My Home with the name you want to use for your first home.

2. Registering a Device

Each home must have at least one device linked to be able to use the application.

Before continuing, ensure all conditions are met. Consult Minimum hardware requirements and Compatible devices for details.

Put the DucoBox into registration mode:

• Wait 2 minutes until the connection with the device is ready.
• Turn off the DucoBox for 10 seconds.
• Turn the DucoBox back on.

Then connect to the DucoBox — or if that fails, to the Connectivity Board. The serial number will be retrieved from the DucoCloud.

Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code on the sticker at the front of the device.

If scanning does not work, you can manually enter the serial number:

• The DucoBox serial number is shown after SN: and below the CE label.
• If this still fails, manually enter the serial number of the Connectivity Board.

You can add an additional device via Add another device and repeat the steps above,
or continue via Continue.

If the device is found, you’ll see an immediate confirmation in the app. Otherwise, you’ll be prompted to enter the connectivity board’s serial number. 

This process can take up to 2 minutes. You can press “refresh” at any time to check whether the system has located the device in DucoCloud. 

Once it’s been found, you’ll receive a confirmation and can either proceed to set up your rooms or add another device using the same method.

3. Creating and Adding Rooms

Each device must have at least one room linked before you can use the application.
Create all rooms where DUCO ventilation is present (a User controller, a sensor, or a vent).

1. Enter a name for each room.
2. Confirm each room using Add room .

If case of a mistake, you can delete a room via the delete icon .

The exact number of rooms required for your system is shown at the bottom.
For example:

• A DucoBox Silent Connect needs only 1 room.
• A DucoBox Focus needs at least 1 room per control valve.

Once you have created enough rooms, the button Continue to ventilation zones turns green, and you can move on.

4. Identifying Ventilation Zones  

A ventilation system consists of zones. The number of zones depends on your DucoBox type:

• DucoBox Silent Connect → 1 central zone
• DucoBox Focus → up to 11 zones
• DucoBox Energy Comfort or DucoBox Energy Sky → standard 2 zones (1 supply, 1 exhaust), expandable to 4 supply zones

The application automatically shows how many zones your system has.

You can assign multiple rooms to one zone, each with its own components:
Example: a bathroom and toilet sharing an exhaust zone, or a DucoBox Energy providing fresh air to multiple bedrooms at night, each equipped with its own CO₂ sensor.

Identifying zones

1. Select the zone you want to identify. A Boost button will appear.
2. Select Boost to temporarily increase the ventilation in that zone.
   All other zones will switch to low speed.
3. Listen in the rooms where ventilation noise increases, and add these rooms to the selected zone. Only rooms not yet assigned to any zone are shown.

4. To continue, each zone must have at least one room assigned. You can edit room assignments using Edit zone.
5. Repeat this process for every zone.

Once all rooms are assigned, continue with Identify components by selecting Confirm.

5. Identifying Components

You can assign wired User controllers and sensors to rooms. This ensures that the correct values appear in the app for each room. Battery‑powered User controllers and switch contacts do not appear in this list.

Component identification

1. Select the component you want to identify. The component’s LED will light up blue.

2. Check in which room the LED lights up.
3. Select that room from the dropdown to link the component.

A User controller linked to the DucoBox for central ventilation control can be assigned to any room.

User controllers and sensors registered under a specific zone can only be assigned to rooms belonging to that zone.

Repeat this step for all components. Once all components are linked to a room, continue via Finish.

6. Ready to Use

Congratulations — your DUCO system has been successfully set up for your home!

Select Go to overview to proceed to the landing page of the application (My Home).
